2nd birthday Dino Party

We had so much fun creating this Dinosaur party for little Harlan! We wanted the dino effect without it being too plastic so we based it around a 'prehistoric' feel with the use of natural products such as real vine, mini succulent plants, bamboo, hessian and wood.

The center decoration was of course the cake, which was a two layered coconut and chocolate cake with yummy chocolate ganache icing, complete with dinosaurs roaming around on the top amongst rocks (coconut rough and choc covered honeycomb) and palms!

Food was served on wooden platters or in handmade hessian sacks as well as green dino jelly in cups with cute bamboo spoons and the all time favourite chocolate 'rock' crackles!

To keep the little explorers busy there was a 'create your own dinosaur' table with lots of glitter, feathers and stick on embellishments to create that special creature to take home

Also there was a dino dig going on with lots of dinosaurs being discovered with the watchful eye of 'Bruce' the in house blow up dinosaur!

At the end of a beautiful afternoon the little ones left with a little hand sewn dino goody bag and an old school dino glider to take home

Picnic In Paris Baby Shower

We were excited to be able to create another baby shower, this time it was a french theme with the emphasis on Paris and a little picnic by the Eiffel Tower!

The invitation that was sent out was created on an old look vintage postcard which tied in with the romantic old world theme.
The scene was created by using stencilled images of the Eiffel Tower and Arc de Triumph on hessian in the background and hanging overhead was 'bebe' made from wrapped ivy and Hycinth. Covering the table was a beautiful vintage lace tablecloth and a few other vintage finds which set the tone for the day.
Food was french themed with baguettes, chocolate eclairs, salted caramel macaroons, citron tarts and fresh strrawberries, just what picnic food is supposed to be like!
Fresh flowers were a big feature with lots of white Sweet Pea and Anemones as well as bunches of Lavender which smelt amazing! For the outside tables old french wine crates and cheese wheels were used to continue the theme.
At the end of the shower guests were invited to take home beautiful chocolates wrapped in french cotton and personalised tags.
